Transform your careers programme and develop your skills as a Careers Leader to strategically embed careers in the curriculum.

These resources have been developed by Ormiston Academy Trust as part of a work experience project, to support the amplification of Technical and Vocational Education routes in Alternative Provision settings.

This resource details the ways in which Enterpriser Advisers could support schools to develop their careers programme. Ideas have been categorised under each specific benchmark.

Created in partnership with The Careers & Enterprise Company, #InApprenticeships is a free online course supporting young people currently in apprenticeships. Apprentices can complete this standalone course to build confidence and understanding during their career journey.

This resource has been developed by Youth Employment UK and is a fantastic opportunity for young people to develop their skills. 

Created in partnership with The Careers & Enterprise Company, #ExploreApprenticeships is a free online course supporting young people wanting to learn more about apprenticeships as a career path.

These resources will support you in promoting the wide range of technical education pathways which are available for young people. 

Created in partnership with the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP), these resources are designed to explain the pathways available to young people as well as promoting the wider work of the Training Provider (ITP) sector.

This portal lists organisations that have activities that meet Gatsby Benchmark 5 (encounters with employers and employees) and Benchmark 6 (experience of workplaces).

Immerse Education offers two week programmes in academic subject development with tutors from the University of Oxford and Cambridge. These take place as a residential programme in July and August, with accommodation provided at the universities, and a full programme of support academic and social activities.

There are also options to take part virtually, with an Online Academic Insights programme that runs for two weeks in December, April and throughout July and August. Although this is a fee-paying programme, we have bursaries available, and offer scholarships based on an essay competition open to all students aged 13-18.
