The resource includes all the necessary resources for full roll out of the parent pledge campaign including; posters, parent letter and social media communications. This activity will enable schools and colleges the opportunity to engage with and obtain parent support in order to increase and help facilitate careers related activities within school. Parents will be encouraged to “Pledge” their support to help participate in specific activities or help the team increase careers related activities being facilitated within school.
Top tips
- This needs to be part of a planned progressive programme to enable the pledges to be used effectively in a meaningful way once received.
- This can be adapted and used at events such as parent’s evenings, open days or other events within schools and colleges.
- This could be used on an annual basis to support regular engagement with parents.
