Challenging stereotypes lesson

Careers Collective were commissioned in 2022, by the Construction Industry Training Board to create a film and learning materials for schools (mainstream and specialist) that showcased their industry and the multiple pathways and careers that are open to students; in particular ways of achieving robust and valued qualifications without going to university.

How should you introduce the apprenticeship route to your students, so that they can start to make informed choices about their future? We challenge pre-conceptions and discover different areas of apprenticeships, some of which may surprise your pupils, using examples from across the British Army.

These resources have been created by curriculum subject experts from Academies Enterprise Trust through collaboration with Tesco, to engage and support students in learning by placing teaching points in the context of the world of work.
