Advancing Access Initiative

Advancing Access

Advancing Access is an initiative developed by the 24 Russell Group universities. It is designed to provide free Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for teachers and careers advisers – supporting more of their students to progress to the UK’s most competitive universities. Schools and colleges can take part by:

  • Requesting a free CPD session to be delivered in their school or college (topics include supporting students with qualification choices and personal statements, UCAS references and preparing students for interviews)
  • Joining the free online and offline events, such as virtual conferences and teacher CPD conferences in schools and colleges
  • Using the large online collection of free CPD resources, including resources for both teachers and students.
