What is Young Professional Training?

Young Professional Training is a free online resource designed to help young people boost their life and work skills while exploring their interests and aspirations for the future. Whether they are studying, working, job hunting, or aren’t sure what to do, these free courses will help them to make informed and confident decisions about what they want and need from life.

There are two online Young Professional Training courses available:

  • Preparing For Your Future is aimed at 14-16 year olds and is ideal for those who are exploring their future options, supporting them to build skills and careers confidence. It has 5 modules.
  • Journey to Work is aimed at those aged 17+, and is ideal for those who are closer to the world of work. It has 8 modules.

Both courses help young people explore their strengths, needs, and aspirations so that they feel more confident about where they want to be. This includes exploring education, work experience, skills and future goals. Young people are encouraged to choose the modules that feel most relevant to them. They can access the courses at any time and complete them at their own pace.
