Neurodivergence is a natural and valuable part of human diversity. Yet too often, the focus is on an individual’s challenges rather than recognising their many unique strengths.

From creative thinking and problem solving to intuition and empathy, these strengths enrich our homes, communities, workplaces, and education settings.

These cards have been designed to encourage a more inclusive and strengths-based understanding of neurodivergence.

If you are neurodivergent, being able to identify and talk about your strengths will help you to:

  • better understand yourself and how you experience the world.
  • recognise your unique abilities and embrace your authentic self.
  • build your confidence, self-esteem, and motivation.
  • make decisions and set goals about your future.

For anyone supporting and working with neurodivergent individuals, it will help to:

  • encourage more inclusive and supportive relationships.
  • promote respect for different ways of thinking and working.
  • create environments where neurodivergent talent can thrive.
  • unlock potential by focusing on what individuals do well.

In each pack, you will find:

  • an instruction leaflet with tips and ideas for using the cards and links for further support.
  • a glossary of neurotypes and strengths.
  • a mini pencil for doodling, journaling, or creating your own card!

“I think it's so great that 'courage', 'tenacity' and 'resilience' appear frequently, as ND people are so used to engaging these elements of themselves, it's easy to just take these aspects of dealing with day to day life for granted, so great to get that thought process started.”
