KS3 Green Careers in the Curriculum

Since 2017, the 12 Opportunity Areas have been working with local people to improve school standards, attendance, teaching quality and recruitment, careers training and advice, and literacy and maths skills in some of the most disadvantaged regions in the country, alongside tackling barriers to learning that exist beyond the school gates. 

This is the first insight guide focused on providing careers advice and support for young people and sharing what has worked in the Opportunity Areas so that other areas can benefit from this insight.

Inspiring Worcestershire Careers Hub have developed a number of resources for SEND as part of the work in the SEND Community of Practice.

Whole-School Careers Guidance Platform with research tools to help students age 11 upwards discover the world of work and pathways forward. Morrisby contains the most advanced psychometric assessments and comprehensive tools to make Compass+ and Gatsby tracking easier.

Animal Adaptions is a collection of practical STEM subject activities linked to employability skills.

Pupils look at how animals have adapted to cope with all sorts of conditions. They explore communication strategies, travel, camouflage and life in challenging settings, and look at the way humans can learn from animals.
