The tool is a great way of identifying where an institutions planned activity meets the following criteria if all elements are used:
- equalex framework learning outcomes.
- Meaningful activity as defined by Benchmark 6.
- Meaningful activity as defined by Benchmark 5.
- Careers in the curriculum as defined by Benchmark 4.
- Meaningful activity as defined by Benchmark 7.
- Where the learning takes place i.e in workplace or in school.
