Barclays LifeSkills provides educators with access to free online interactive resources, schemes of learning with topics covered in planned sequences allowing students to show progression, ready-made lessons and work experience opportunities. There are also tools, guides and films that young people can use independently or with their families.
These resources cover topics from building aspirations, confidence, developing the core transferable skills that work across any job or sector, recognising strengths and continuing to develop them, growing financial confidence, exploring enterprise and being entrepreneurial and the practical elements to preparing for work which includes writing a CV and preparing for interviews.
The curriculum-linked resources are designed to fit into timetables, including a suite of lessons adapted for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and children in care.
