What's Changing?

You will see a brand-new homepage and have access to new features. For colleges, easy-to-use functionality will also be introduced to improve the management of sites and departments.

For eligible schools and specialist settings with a compatible Management Information System (MIS), Compass+ can connect to your MIS and access learner data. FE colleges and ITPs are unable to connect their MIS to Compass+, although this is something that we continue to work towards.


As we progress, the migration will enable us to explore how we can evolve Compass+ to better meet your needs. 

 

Migration Timeline

Pilot  : Selected settings test the migration process. 

Soft launch : Selected settings test Compass+ after migrating early. 

Guidance : Guidance updated following pilot feedback.  

Help Centre : All guidance and resources are available on the Compass+ Help Centre.  

Go live : All users are automatically migrated to Compass+ with ongoing training and support.

  • How do we check if our Management Information System (MIS) is compatible with Compass+?

  • If we don’t have a compatible MIS, what happens?

    You won’t be able to use functionality that accesses learner data, but core features remain available to support careers delivery in your setting. If you change MIS in the future, you may be eligible to connect.

  • What if we don't want to connect our MIS to Compass+?

    If you prefer to use Compass+ without access to learner data, you don't need to do anything. Connecting to your setting's MIS and accessing learner data won't happen unless you take active steps to connect your MIS to Compass+ - you can continue to use Compass+ without accessing any learner data.

  • Will colleges or ITPs be able to use the Future Skills Questionnaire?

    Not at present as access requires a compatible MIS connection.

  • When we migrate to Compass+, will the Terms and Conditions change?

    Terms and conditions will only change for current Compass users. From the date of migration, Compass+ Ts and Cs will apply to all users. For existing Compass+ users, there will be no change.
