CANDOO® is a fun and engaging game designed to get young learners thinking about and discussing STEM-based careers. It can be played as a game on its own or built into wider careers activities.

Developed by the team in the Black Country Careers Hub this resource uses widgets to raise awareness of different career options for young people with SEND. This resource features in the My Skills My Future programme. 

Case study from the Cornerstone Employer Group at the Birmingham Careers Hub – gives an overview of their recent work on Removing Barriers: supporting SEND students, with HS2, Wilmott Dixon, Jacobs and others.

This portal lists organisations that have activities that meet Gatsby Benchmark 5 (encounters with employers and employees) and Benchmark 6 (experience of workplaces).

Moving on: Student Transitions and Preparing for Adulthood is a pick and mix of different worksheets, activities and guidance to support young people as they transition from school and into adulthood.

This programme is focused on the different stages of transition experienced by young people on the journey from education to the world of work. 

This programme has been collated from resources across our partners and network to support young people with SEND under the 2 groups identified in the SEND toolkit. It contains lessons around employability skill development , employer projects and engagement videos all to support young people in their next steps.

Developed by the team at the Black Country Careers Hub this resource contains a short social story to support young people with SEND during transition. This resource features in the My Skills My Future programme. 

These resources have been developed by South Somerset Partnership to support families of SEND students in understanding what is effective transition and avenues of support.
