Developed by the Department for Education as part of the ‘Do Something BIG, work with small children’ campaign, this resource includes information for young people on all areas of early years and childcare work, the different routes into the sector and real-life stories.  

On this page you will find resources developed by the East Sussex Careers Hub to support people working with young people with SEND. Some of these are featured as content in the My Skills My Future programme.

EmployAbility Leisure is an initiative by Aspire (EmployAbility Leisure) to create more accessible and inclusive training and workplace environments for disabled people in the fitness and leisure sector. Evidence-based guidance published as a result for disabled people, training providers and employers is available for free, instant download here.

This resource has been developed by the East Sussex Careers Hub team and contains 10 videos to support understanding of the link between the world of work and employability skills. 

This report draws out key insights from some of the employers most involved in careers education across the country, analysing how practice is evolving and what activity is generating impact. It draws on survey data from ninety businesses of different shapes, types, sectors and in each region of England, and analyses their experiences of preparing students for the world of work.

This resource is a set of employability films for young people and parents. The films are focussed on opportunities in Sheffield and the surrounding areas but have elements which are universal across all areas.

Parents and carers play an important part in the careers and education choices of young people. The Gatsby Foundation and The Careers and Enterprise Company have worked with Careers Leaders to explore ideas and good practice for working with parents in these challenging times.

This is a CPD tool designed for teachers. It explores a basic understanding of what engineering thinking is and how it links to design thinking. The resource is broken down into:

Developed by the team in Swindon and Wiltshire Careers Hub, this resource supports Careers Leaders with approaches to feedback and effective evaluation of their careers programme. There is a longer guide for Careers Leader available along with a shorter quick reference version.

This is an editable overview for an academic year of events and specific weeks across the country to support in planning events and the development of a careers education programme.
