The University of London Careers Service have developed a new free, impartial and accurate online careers course resource for school and college students (aged 16-18), to help them learn more and make good, well-informed career decisions about their post-18 careers options.

This resource is an employability and further education advice pack for young people and parents. The pack is produced in both English and Roma languages. The pack is focussed on opportunities in Sheffield and the surrounding areas but has elements which are universal across all areas. The pack has been designed to be accessible to people with SEN.

Talentino programmes have been helping to improve career outcomes for young people with a range of learning difficulties in a mixture of settings – special schools, mainstream schools, AP, PRU, SEMH, etc.

They also provide great opportunities for learning more, through their regular newsletters, annual SEND Careers Conference, and by publishing free resources.

SPARK+ is a unique service that combines the Spark Careers App with 1:1 CEIAG education delivered by our team of specialist SEND-trained careers advisors. The service is specifically designed to support students with SEND, home-educated students, and those who cannot access mainstream careers guidance.

These resources have been developed by South Somerset Partnership as part of a transition project for SEND students. A sensory pack of career lesson ideas for PMLD Learners for them to explore the world of work. The suite of lesson ideas focuses on the experience gained through completing activities as opposed to the “end product” that is produced. It focuses upon developing children’s communication, engagement and experiences of the world of work.
