These courses are designed to support subject teachers in understanding the role they play in careers education and how they can, through their subject, support young people to make informed choices about their best next step and potential career pathway. Read the course description below.

This short course is designed to highlight how the wider education workforce play a key role in supporting young people to make informed choices about their best next step and potential career pathway. 

When referring to the ‘wider education workforce’ we include those in roles such as pastoral within education and those who support young people through other relationships such as social workers, case workers, youth workers and specialist support. 

These FREE to attend events showcase all levels of Apprenticeships, from entry level all the way through to Higher and Degree. This offers visitors the opportunity to engage with each region’s top Employers, Colleges, Universities, and Training Providers in a face-to-face, interactive environment.

 

The following webinars have been created to support Careers Leaders to create a strategic careers plan and build a progressive careers programme.

The webinars should be used in conjunction with the Strategic Carers Plan and Building a Stable and Progressive Careers Programme guidance documents.

Talentino programmes have been helping to improve career outcomes for young people with a range of learning difficulties in a mixture of settings – special schools, mainstream schools, AP, PRU, SEMH, etc. 

The two programmes, “Careers at EVERY Level” and “MORE”, for different groups of young people with SEND/additional needs, are now on a subscription model with different tiers of provision – to find out more about the programmes, click here.

Green Skills Unlocked was created by the team at Energising Futures in partnership with STEM education experts. Expertly curated, the resources are designed to bring real-world science to life for young people by introducing them to the skills they’ll need to access ‘green’ jobs for the future.

This post-graduate Level 7 course has been developed by the Career Studies Unit (CSU) at the University of Warwick. In successfully completing the course and the assignment, you will gain a Postgraduate Award (30 credits at level 7) in Careers Leadership.

This is a CPD tool designed for teachers. It explores a basic understanding of what engineering thinking is and how it links to design thinking. The resource is broken down into:

• Engineering skills
• Disruptive innovation
• Engineering skills development (linking to key engineering developments in history)
• Simple design exercises.

The University of London Careers Service have developed a new free, impartial and accurate online careers course resource for school and college students (aged 16-18), to help them learn more and make good, well-informed career decisions about their post-18 careers options.
