Thomas Pocklington Trust (TPT) has a range of useful resources for careers leaders and practitioners working with blind and partially sighted students in mainstream secondary schools and colleges.

Posters can really brighten up any classroom, department, corridor or student social area and help bring careers information to students in a bright and colourful way leaving them with a lasting impression and a point of reference during their time in school.

Compass is a free digital product that helps you quickly and easily evaluate your careers provision against the eight Gatsby Benchmarks. 

Compass is available to secondary schools, special schools, sixth forms, colleges, PRU’s and ITPs in England.

Get Ahead is a toolkit and resource co-produced with and for disabled young people. The newsletters and magazines will help you navigate the wide range of information and resources that are available in post-16 education, training, and work. It is a platform where young people can have their voice heard and share the many talents they have.

How can we live smarter? is a collection of practical STEM subject activities linked to employability skills. Students will consider how humans have transformed the world around them and what the future might hold for the planet Earth and the people who inhabit it. Discovering how new technology and innovations could improve the quality of our lives as well as the world we live in. From creating a game to save water at home, to investigating how we can use our living space more efficiently.

The Key Stats 2021 publication contains a useful and informative overview of the Independent Training Provider sector and has been provided by the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP).

This resource supports Careers Leaders to embed encounters with providers of all routes available to students at key transitions within a progressive careers programme.

The following guiding principles will support an approach to Benchmark 7 and to Provider Access Legislation, whilst being aligned to Benchmarks 1 and 3 including setting aims, planning meaningful delivery and impact evaluation of activity.
