The Toolkit is for secondary schools, Academies and other education establishments - a guide for Head Teachers, Careers Leads and operations staff. It covers setting up and effectively managing and supervising placements or work experiences and has a number of standalone useful checklists and forms.

The University of London Careers Service have developed a new free, impartial and accurate online careers course resource for school and college students (aged 16-18), to help them learn more and make good, well-informed career decisions about their post-18 careers options.

The ADHD Foundation is the UK’s leading neurodiversity charity, offering a strength-based, lifespan service for the 1 in 5 of us who live with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia and Tourette’s syndrome. 

Booklet detailing the steps a parent/carer should take from Year 9 of a young person's school career to ensure their transition when leaving school is as smooth as possible, plus information on the possible next placements.

The Career Discovery Podcast is a free learning platform dedicated to helping young people broaden their career horizons.

These Technology pages produced by Thomas Pocklington Trust by staff with lived experience of a vision impairment show what can be achieved with technology adaptations.

Talentino programmes have been helping to improve career outcomes for young people with a range of learning difficulties in a mixture of settings – special schools, mainstream schools, AP, PRU, SEMH, etc.

They also provide great opportunities for learning more, through their regular newsletters, annual SEND Careers Conference, and by publishing free resources.

These resources have been developed by South Somerset Partnership as part of a transition project for SEND students. The resources pull together key Preparation for Adulthood information that will enable mainstream, special school and FE Careers Leaders to understand the journey and support available for young people with SEND. 

Developed by Solihull Careers Hub. This resource is parent’s/carer’s simple guide to education, training and employment pathways for those with SEND.

A guide, published by Build UK, setting out the most common routes of entry into construction for young people in England leaving school, including apprenticeships, T Levels and degrees, and how they might suit different employers.

These resources have been developed by North Tyneside Learning Trust as part of a transition project. Based on four growth areas a vocational box has been created for download.
