A sensory pack of career lesson ideas for PMLD Learners for them to explore the world of work. The suite of lesson ideas focuses on the experience gained through completing activities as opposed to the “end product” that is produced. It focuses upon developing children’s communication, engagement and experiences of the world of work.

Since 2017, the 12 Opportunity Areas have been working with local people to improve school standards, attendance, teaching quality and recruitment, careers training and advice, and literacy and maths skills in some of the most disadvantaged regions in the country, alongside tackling barriers to learning that exist beyond the school gates. 

This is the first insight guide focused on providing careers advice and support for young people and sharing what has worked in the Opportunity Areas so that other areas can benefit from this insight.

These resources have been developed by North Tyneside Learning Trust as part of a transition project. Based on four growth areas a vocational box has been created for download.

Use this powerful app to equip students with everything they need to create their CV and start sharing it with some of the UK’s most exciting employers.

These resources have been developed by RICS - Nationwide. They provide opportunities for students to learn about the myriad roles within the surveying sector. They encourage students to think about the day-to-day of a surveyor and the requisite skills. They also encourage students to think about their own current skills and how they might develop these to pursue a role in surveying. Pathways to becoming a surveyor are shared.

Our ambition is to inform and inspire young people and grow the number and diversity of tomorrow’s engineers. We support employers and the wider engineering community to achieve this collective aim and engage directly with schools via our outreach programmes.
