Enterprise Advisers (EAs)
Understanding the Enterprise Adviser role
Watch this short video to discover how EAs add value.
EAs bring a wealth of skills, experiences, and expertise. It may be helpful to think of EAs as business consultants. Dive into this video to see how EAs can apply their skills within an educational setting.
The different ways of working with EAs
The diverse network of 4,000 EAs come from all industry sectors and professional backgrounds. They are volunteers who commit to work with a school, special school, or college on a 1-2-1 basis for at least one academic year or provide more agile support. The agile approach enables you to tap into the expertise of skilled volunteers for shorter projects, providing you with greater flexibility and choice in how you collaborate with an EA.
Types of EA Matches
- 1-2-1 Match: Those who want to primarily work exclusively with one institution and develop a longer-term partnership (12 months or more).
- Agile match: Support provided by EAs which includes a clearly defined outcome, this is for shorter term intensive projects. This approach does not have a minimum timeframe, to allow for flexibility, the ability to make judgements and to harness innovative practice.
