This brand new 6-minute film (with British Sign Language interpretation) follows the inspirational stories of apprentices with learning differences, disabilities and health conditions.

Shining a light on skills for today and the exciting challenges of tomorrow. With a focus on technical education, apprenticeships and skills, this resource seeks to support students with the early steps of career development planning. Working with industry leaders, WorldSkills UK brings you high-quality on-demand video content which will excite your students.

Developed by Inspiring Worcestershire. Passport to Retail has been designed with the student’s progression at the forefront. This brilliant project will take students on a tour around the Retail industry, learning about key areas from customer services to stock rotation to build their knowledge and skill in preparation for the workplace.

Introducing the world of Recruitment. These lessons cover the skills employers look for, how businesses recruit, entrepreneurship and project planning skills.
 

An introduction to My Week of Work and the sector options for students to explore: creative digital, engineering, construction, energy and renewables and health and social care. The final session of the day gives an insight into the world of work.

These lessons explore what it means to be an effective leader, how to create an impactful CV and recognise and demonstrate employability skills. The week is completed with some reflection – what could be your next steps and how to prepare for discussions with a careers adviser.
 

Green Section: My Environment My Future (MEMF) is a free schools programme which embeds knowledge, resources and guidance on careers within the built environment directly into the delivery of the GCSE and A-level geography curriculum.  Since launching in May 2020, over 260 teachers across the UK have engaged with MEMF and the programme is currently launching for the next academic year.

Developed by Catcote Academy this resource is part of the My Skills My Future programme.  It contains a slide deck to showcase the opportunities available at Morrisons and is aimed at both SEND groups and AP/PRU.

Launched by the social mobility charity upReach, Aspire was created to encourage state school students all over the UK to aim high and broaden their career horizons. Aimed at Year 12 and 13 students, these resources provide detailed information about a wide range of career options that students from lower socio-economic backgrounds may have limited exposure to through existing networks.

The British Beauty Council, STEM Learning and Careers and Enterprise are collaborating to develop the first dedicated beauty-related resource for secondary schools, showcasing and demonstrating the enriching careers across the beauty and STEM sector. The films below highlight opportunities in cosmetic science, fragrance, sustainability and technology.
