As part of The Gatsby Foundation’s work supporting parents to have careers conversations, ‘The Making of…’ films were produced, showing that as a parent, you don’t have to understand the detail of every careers in order to give your child the support they need. 

Developed from the original Toolkit from the Gatsby Foundation, this toolkit is based on research exploring how institutions can best support parents to help young people make informed careers and education decisions. It includes colour coded identifiers to help you find the right support, wherever you are on your parental engagement journey.

The advertising industry is calling out for more diversity, as currently only 13% are people of colour. Award winning agency, Leo Burnett, worked with Black students from Lambeth to create this film, to inspire fellow students to consider a career in advertising.

We partnered with the CBI to undertake research to better understand how employers engage with schools. From this research we have produced this practical guide for employers who want to engage with schools together with a compendium of case studies from businesses.

Teacher continuing professional development (CPD) delivered by employers can refer to a variety of professional development activities where an employer is the primary facilitator of training. But what impact do teacher placements have and what can we learn about lessons in best practice?

This research is available to support anyone who is involved in mentoring to better understand good practice.
