Case study from the Coast to Capital Careers Hub – sheds light on a recent group activity on Vocational pathways undertaken with Thakeham Homes, British Airways, Gatwick Airport, Unilever, Atkins, Honeywell, Thales, NHS, Fidelity International and ITV.

Funded by DCMS and led by industry, the Discover Creative Careers website is an online portal packed with information, resources and events to help young people explore roles in the creative industries. Starting with an interactive careers finder tool connecting to more than 520 job profiles and an opportunity directory of events, resources, skills competitions, virtual work experience and more.

EmployAbility Leisure is an initiative by Aspire (EmployAbility Leisure) to create more accessible and inclusive training and workplace environments for disabled people in the fitness and leisure sector. Evidence-based guidance published as a result for disabled people, training providers and employers is available for free, instant download here.

This is a CPD tool designed for teachers. It explores a basic understanding of what engineering thinking is and how it links to design thinking. The resource is broken down into:

This portal lists organisations that have activities that meet Gatsby Benchmark 5 (encounters with employers and employees) and Benchmark 6 (experience of workplaces).

Students will work in small teams to complete a wide range of tasks in order to stage the biggest and best festival ever! Working alongside leading practitioners, a series of free resources, lesson plans, films and activities have been created to bust the myths surrounding careers in the creative sector and provide a wider understanding of the less traditional, yet in-demand, roles.

globalbridge is a unique platform, built by teachers, that helps young people evidence their talents, experiences and aspirations whilst also helping them connect with opportunities, regardless of their background.

Youth Employment UK have developed a suite of free careers resources for home educated students in the UK. These courses do not assume or expect learning to be curriculum-based. They aim to focus on creative positivity, agency, and wellbeing when it comes to exploring skills, strengths and possible future steps.
