As part of The Gatsby Foundation’s work supporting parents to have careers conversations, ‘The Making of…’ films were produced, showing that as a parent, you don’t have to understand the detail of every careers in order to give your child the support they need. 

Developed from the original Toolkit from the Gatsby Foundation, this toolkit is based on research exploring how institutions can best support parents to help young people make informed careers and education decisions. It includes colour coded identifiers to help you find the right support, wherever you are on your parental engagement journey. 

SPARK+ is a unique service that combines the Spark Careers App with 1:1 CEIAG education delivered by our team of specialist SEND-trained careers advisors. The service is specifically designed to support students with SEND, home-educated students, and those who cannot access mainstream careers guidance.

This report draws out key insights from some of the employers most involved in careers education across the country, analysing how practice is evolving and what activity is generating impact. It draws on survey data from ninety businesses of different shapes, types, sectors and in each region of England, and analyses their experiences of preparing students for the world of work.

My Employment Passport, winner of the CDI's Post-16 Career Programme of the Year 2022, is a 30-module course that raises the employment aspirations for young people with additional needs whilst inspiring their teachers, tutors, supporters, parents, and future employers too.
