Careers Adviser, Katherine Jennick, the creator of the award winning What’s your strength?® cards, has developed a number of strength-based tools which are free to download.

Passport to Digital has been designed with the student’s progression at the forefront. This brilliant project will take students on a tour around the digital industry, learning about key areas from digital communication to cyber security to build their knowledge and skill in preparation for the workplace.

 

A dedicated, downloadable, resource library of KS3 to KS5 curriculum-relevant material for teachers and career advisors to explore the fast-paced, well-paid world of logistics.

The DFE, in collaboration with research partners Verian, have created a set of information and guidance materials to help careers leaders and teachers support KS5 students in making informed post 18 progression choices. The materials raise awareness of Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) as a high-quality, career focused alternative to degrees or apprenticeships. 

Designed for secondary school students, this programme aims to support them in developing their skills for the future and making the most of their potential in their chosen career.

A sensory pack of career lesson ideas for PMLD Learners for them to explore the world of work. The suite of lesson ideas focuses on the experience gained through completing activities as opposed to the “end product” that is produced. It focuses upon developing children’s communication, engagement and experiences of the world of work.

These resources have been developed by Ormiston Academy Trust and include professional resources and tools to help mainstream schools embed the Maritime Futures approach at Key Stage 3.
