Purpose: to inspire students to take a key STEM subject at GCSE whilst having a greater understanding of the potential careers linked to the subject.
Developed resources: a thematic ‘off the shelf’ suite of resources covering all KS3 to address ‘Environmental, social and economic challenges’ with a focus on renewable energy. The resources will develop students understanding of current, and future, environmental, social and economic challenges linked to possible related career sector.
Within the resources there are: Three lessons in Year 7 / 8 / 9, slide deck for each lesson alongside teacher notes, handouts to develop student understanding, and, accompanying videos from: Co-op Power, Co-op Logistics, Sir Robert McAlpine, Co-op Engineering.
