Family Quiz event: age 11-16 and 16+

A fun quiz to familiarise families with information about careers and education options.

Conversation Starters

An informal, invitation only activity, to help parents and students discuss skills and careers options with support from school/college. 

Building a skills challenge – KS3

A family teamwork challenge to explore how different skills and strengths can suit a range of career and education options.

Action Planning

A low-pressure session where families complete the Family Action Plan or Pathways Planner with support form school or college staff. Designed to support families who require IT support, guidance or encouragement to identify steps to support their child. 

Employer Panel

A Q&A session with a panel of employers to encourage parents to explore careers relating to a particular subject, skill or industry area with their child. 

Careers Adviser Parents’ Meeting

An activity which builds on students’ first one-to-one meeting with the Careers Adviser, with a second meeting between the Careers Adviser, the student and their parents.

A guide and activities for families of young people with SEND to ensure they are prepared for their post 16 careers journey and the world of work.
