WWF

Tackling the climate and nature crisis and delivering on net zero will take a skilled and diverse workforce, and every job can play its part.  Our programme works with teachers, career leads and businesses to develop young people’s knowledge, skills and experiences that helps prepare them for the future job market.

LESSON RESOURCES

Our free certificated student course is designed to be delivered by teachers, careers leads or facilitators to students aged 14-18. The course includes three modules, split into bitesize 30-minute learning units for maximum flexibility. It can be delivered as part of your careers provision, within curriculum subjects or as an extra-curricular activity.

Resources are available to download from the WWF webpage Sustainable Futures: Educators | WWF. These include our “pick up and go” lesson plans, and an accompanying slide deck with short videos from employers and employees who highlight how sustainability is integral to their work.

BUSINESS ROLE MODEL TALKS

Bring the concepts in the course to life through meaningful encounters with business volunteers. This could be virtual or in person, with a speaker from an environmental organisation or from a company changing their practices to become more sustainable.
