Globally Responsible Careers in STEM
‘Globally Responsible Careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics’ (GRC-STEM) – will help the growing number of job-seekers looking for employment with organisations that prioritise sustainable and ethical concerns.
This online resource asks each individual a series of questions concerning:
- Their personal requirements from a career and considering their interests in science and technology;
- The type of work they are interested in; and
- Their ethical concerns, bearing in mind the global issues that face society.
Immerse Education
Immerse Education offers two week programmes in academic subject development with tutors from the University of Oxford and Cambridge. These take place as a residential programme in July and August, with accommodation provided at the universities, and a full programme of support academic and social activities.
There are also options to take part virtually, with an Online Academic Insights programme that runs for two weeks in December, April and throughout July and August. Although this is a fee-paying programme, we have bursaries available, and offer scholarships based on an essay competition open to all students aged 13-18.
South Somerset 14-19 Partnership ‘SEND Transitions: Imagine the Possibilities and Making a success of Further Education’
These resources have been developed by South Somerset Partnership as part of a transition project for SEND students. The resources pull together key Preparation for Adulthood information that will enable mainstream, special school and FE Careers Leaders to understand the journey and support available for young people with SEND.
Tech We Can, On-demand Lessons
These fun and informative online lessons, delivered by Tech We Can teachers, are aimed at inspiring children aged 8-14 to consider a career in technology.

Sci4Us Interviews
Sci4Us have launched a video series, challenging professionals to explain their job at 3-levels: primary school, secondary school and GCSE.
Designated Teacher E-Booklet
Developed in partnership by Worcestershire Virtual School and the Inspiring Worcestershire Delivery Team.
This reference resource will support the network of Designated Teachers to understand the national and local careers landscape.
The Career Discovery Podcast
The Career Discovery Podcast is a free learning platform dedicated to helping young people broaden their career horizons.
