Talking Futures: A Family Quiz Event

This activity supports the following recommendations for good parental engagement:

• Stimulate family conversations

This interactive activity could be included in a range of careers events, virtually or face-to-face, to encourage families to discuss the options together and find out new facts about the choices available. Knowledge gained by parents during the quiz can then be used to prompt further discussion at home.

Two question banks have been provided, one tailored to parents with children aged 11-16 focusing on post-16 options and one for use with parents of students aged over 16. Editable questions are also included so you can add locally relevant facts into your event.
