Student Finance Overview - a brief overview of the SFE Student Finance offering. These slides are student facing and provide key information and guidance on student finance, from application through to Repayment. These slides have been created to supplement talks about university to students in schools. We are aware some student talks will be an overview of University as a whole, including UCAS personal statements and that there is a brief mention of student finance. These slides have been created to ensure the key student messages are included. They cover maintenance loan figures for AY 24/25, a look at household income, repayments and tips for students when readying to complete their applications.
Student Finance Overview for parents - A detailed overview of the SFE Student Finance offering. These slides are parent facing and provide key information and guidance on student finance, from application to entitlement and through to Repayment. These slides have been created to deliver to parents at parents evening events, to ensure key student messages are included and to help dispel any student finance myths. They cover maintenance loan figures for AY 24/25, an overview of how household income is calculated, additional funding which may be available (eg Disabled Students Allowance), how repayments work and tips for students when readying to complete their applications.
Parents Guide to student finance factsheet - A factsheet which provides key student finance for parents whose children are considering university. It covers students’ entitlement, application and assessment key messages and repayment messages. This can be signposted to or printed out as handouts.
