The Amazing Apprenticeships Student Apprenticeship Guide includes 10 hours of self-directed learning activities, perfect for distance learning or classroom-based development. Designed for students in years 12 and 13, it will equip them with essential information about apprenticeships and guide them through how to research and apply for opportunities.
Amazing Apprenticeships has created a teacher guide to accompany their Interactive Student Apprenticeship Guide. This guide has been designed for use by form tutors, teachers and careers professionals who are supporting students in years 12 and 13, to research and apply for apprenticeships. You do not need to have any prior knowledge about apprenticeships.
This well-known resource can be used to help contextualise the world of work alongside curriculum study – and support young people in making informed decisions.
Funded by DCMS and led by industry, the Discover Creative Careers website is an online portal packed with information, resources, events to help young people explore roles in the creative industries, starting with an interactive careers finder tool connecting to more than 520 job profiles and an opportunity directory of events, resources, skills competitions, virtual work experience and more
This portal lists organisations that have activities that meet Gatsby Benchmark 5 (encounters with employers and employees) and Benchmark 6 (experience of workplaces)
Students will work in small teams to complete a wide range of tasks in order to stage the biggest and best festival ever! Working alongside leading practitioners, a series of free resources, lesson plans, films and activities have been created to bust the myths surrounding careers in the creative sector and provide a wider understanding of the less traditional, yet in-demand, roles.
Our free lesson plans, activities and videos will develop students’ employability skills to help them prepare for the world of work and increase students’ awareness of the variety of roles within the food and grocery industry.
This programme has been collated from resources across our partners and network to support young people with SEND under the 2 groups identified in the SEND toolkit.
